Zion Temple
The Zion Temple of the Calvary Bible Baptist Church was started in 1994 with eight adults and two children, who regularly met for worship in Pastor Kwame’s house in his native village of Abobo. It was under the leadership of Pastor Togbi-Wonyo Messanh, Pastor Kwame’s brother. A year later, the church was moved to a small locale that was rented near the market of Abobo. There, the attendance more than doubled and the Lord began to bless the work. In 2011, the church was transferred from the rented locale to its permanent place on a piece of land that was donated to this work by Pastor Kwame. As of this writing, it runs about 37 adults and 40 children on Sunday mornings.
