Why we are here
As the domain name implies, our vision is to reach the people of Togo for our Lord Jesus Christ. In order for us to be able to do this, we thought it wise to take example from our Lord Jesus Himself and from the deep, concise, and thought-provoking words He spoke in John 9:4 “I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” Those inspired words are a great source of motivation and challenge to me personally. I have come to realize that great men of God, who are at all conscious about accomplishing something for God, never lose sight of the shortness of the time that is allotted to every man.
While I was pondering further on the time factor, I was even more struck by this fact that no one knows exactly how much time on earth has been given to him or her. While someone may have 50 years, someone else may be allowed just 20. That alone is enough to get me seriously thinking. Moses must have understood this underlying principle when he thus prayed, “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom” Ps 90:12. In addition, here is what one of the wisest men who ever walked this earth, King Solomon said: “he that winneth souls is wise” Proverbs 11:30. Wow! What wiser option do we have this side of eternity than this?! That is why the precious souls that we come in contact with here in Togo -- or wherever God leads us-- are so important to us.
My dear friend, dare to be a soul-winner. Dare to invest into souls. Our days are numbered. Our time is short! We welcome your partnership with us as we endeavor to reach Togo for Christ. Please pray for us as we minister for our Lord and with us for the people of Togo!
