God's plan of salvation
THE NEED: “. . . for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23
THE PROVISION: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23
THE SOLUTION: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10.
“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” John 3:36
Friend, if you believe that you have sinned, and that only the blood of Jesus can cleanse you of that sin and make you fit for Heaven, you can be born spiritually into God’s family. Pray to Him and ask Him to come into your life. You can say something like this:
Dear Father, today I realize that I am a sinner and that I am not fit to enter Heaven with You. Thank You for sending Your Son Jesus to die on the cross to pay for my sins. Please forgive me and cleanse me of my sin. I now commit my life to You as my Savior and ask You to guide me each day to live for You. Amen.
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” John 5:24.
If you trusted Christ the Savior: Christ came into your life . . . “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory,” Colossians 1:27.
Your sins are forgiven . . . “In whom (Christ) we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins” Colossians 1:14.
You can know that you have eternal life . . . “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” I John 5:13.
You Now Need to Develop the Habits of: Praying regularly . . . “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7.
Reading the Bible . . . “These (Bereans) were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:11.
Telling others about Christ . . . “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts1:8.
Fellowshipping with others of like faith in Christ . . . “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25.
Living in peace and being holy . . . “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord,” Hebrews 12:14.
